Kids & Family Events in Bengaluru

Bengaluru (Bangalore) is an easy city to keep children busy in, and the events below, updated daily, cover workshops, children's theatre, storytelling, science shows, camps and family festivals. The dependable outings are close together in the centre. The Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum on Kasturba Road is open every day, with entry at ₹100 and children under five free; Cubbon Park and Bal Bhavan are across the road; and the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium runs daily sky shows in English and Kannada for ₹100 (₹60 for under-16s), though it does not admit children under three. Further out, Bannerghatta Biological Park has a zoo, bus safaris and a butterfly park and is closed on Tuesdays; the Indian Music Experience in JP Nagar has an outdoor Sound Garden; and Fun World and Snow City share a site at Palace Grounds. Ranga Shankara's AHA! programme stages theatre for children, with its festival held in May 2026, and Science Gallery Bengaluru is free for curious teenagers. Malls add play zones such as Timezone and Funcity. School holidays in April–May, October and late December bring the most camps and workshops, and the Lalbagh flower shows in January and August are family favourites.
