Festivals, Habbas & Fairs in Bengaluru

Bengaluru's festival year mixes Kannada habbas, old-city traditions and newer city festivals. The 2026–27 season runs like this: Kannada Rajyotsava on 1 November; Deepavali, with Naraka Chaturdashi on 8 November and Balipadyami on 10 November; the Kadalekai Parishe groundnut fair around the Bull Temple on 7 December; Christmas in the Cantonment churches; BLR Hubba, the city-wide arts festival, from 15 to 24 January 2027; the Republic Day flower show at Lalbagh in the second half of January; and the Karaga procession through the Pete on the night of 20 April 2027. Makara Sankranti, Ugadi, Ganesha Chaturthi and Navratri bring neighbourhood celebrations, temple fairs, doll displays and dandiya nights.
