Things to Do in Bengaluru This Week

The events below are the best things to do in Bengaluru (Bangalore) this week, refreshed daily from listings across the city: concerts and gigs, stand-up, plays, exhibitions, food festivals, workshops, heritage walks and family events. If you're planning by interest, theatre-goers can count on Ranga Shankara in JP Nagar, which stages a play on most evenings except Monday, and Jagriti in Whitefield at weekends. Comedy runs most nights in club rooms in Koramangala and Indiranagar. For music, choose between open-air concerts at Terraform Arena and NICE Grounds, jazz at Windmills, classical recitals at Chowdiah Memorial Hall and the Bangalore Gayana Samaja, and free concerts and talks at the Bangalore International Centre. Daytime plans are easy to build around Cubbon Park and the museums on Kasturba Road, Lalbagh, or the old Pete with a heritage walk, and the evening usually ends at a brewpub. The calendar is busiest from October to February, with Deepavali, Kadalekai Parishe, the Bangalore Literature Festival, Christmas, BLR Hubba and the Lalbagh flower show. Rain is common on evenings from May to October, so keep an indoor option ready. Several museums and Ranga Shankara are closed on Mondays.
