Things to do in Bannerghatta Road

Bannerghatta Road runs south from Dairy Circle past hospitals, the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and a string of malls to Bannerghatta Biological Park, about 25 kilometres from Vidhana Soudha. The park's zoo, bus safaris and butterfly park make it the city's biggest family day out; it is closed on Tuesdays. Along the road, Vega City and Royal Meenakshi malls host children's events and seasonal markets, IIM Bangalore's campus runs business summits and student festivals, and the storytelling institute Kathalaya is based here. The Yellow Line's Jayadeva Hospital station serves the northern end; the Pink Line's elevated stretch along the road was awaiting its opening date in mid-October 2026.
