Things to do in Cubbon Park & Kasturba Road

Cubbon Park, laid out in 1870, is the green centre of Bengaluru, with the Vidhana Soudha on one side and the museums of Kasturba Road on the other. The Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Venkatappa Art Gallery and the Museum of Art & Photography stand a short walk apart, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium and Sree Kanteerava Stadium sit at the park's edges, and UB City on Vittal Mallya Road adds restaurants and bars. Weekend mornings bring runners, reading groups and heritage walks, and several internal roads are closed to vehicles on Sundays and public holidays. Cubbon Park station on the Purple Line is about 450 metres from the Kasturba Road entrance.
