Things to do in Lalbagh

1 events in lalbagh across Bengaluru โ€” mostly heritage (1).

Lalbagh Botanical Garden is a 240-acre garden begun under Hyder Ali in 1760 and now run by Karnataka's horticulture department. Its 19th-century Glass House is the centrepiece of two flower shows a year, held in the fortnights before Republic Day and Independence Day, which draw lakhs of visitors. The garden also has an ancient rock outcrop topped by a Kempegowda watchtower, a lake, centuries-old trees and a seasonal mango fair. Mavalli Tiffin Rooms (MTR) is on Lalbagh Road, outside the main gate. Lalbagh station on the Green Line is beside the West Gate, which makes the metro the easiest way in on show days.
