Things to do in Jayanagar

Jayanagar, founded in 1948, is south Bengaluru's shopping and residential heart, with wide tree-lined roads and numbered blocks. The 4th Block shopping complex and the streets around it are busiest in the evenings and before festivals, when stalls sell lamps, flowers and sweets. Events lean traditional: Carnatic and Hindustani concerts in sabhas and school auditoriums, Kannada plays, book launches, yoga camps and children's classes, alongside newer cafés hosting workshops and open mics. The neighbourhood's parks fill with walking groups every morning. Jayanagar and South End Circle stations on the Green Line serve the area, and RV Road is the interchange for the Yellow Line.
