Things to do in Majestic & Gandhinagar

Majestic is the city's transport hub, where the Kempegowda Bus Station, KSR Bengaluru railway station and the metro's Purple–Green interchange meet. Gandhinagar, beside it, grew up around Kannada cinema's single-screen theatres. A short walk away on Seshadri Road is Freedom Park, laid out on the grounds of the former Central Jail, which is the city's designated protest site and also hosts festivals; the Bangalore Literature Festival moved there in 2025. Central College's grounds and auditorium hold university events. Most visitors pass through rather than stay, but for anything at Freedom Park the Majestic and Central College stations are closest.
