Things to do in Frazer Town & Cooke Town

Frazer Town, officially Pulakeshi Nagar, and neighbouring Cooke Town, Cox Town and Richards Town are leafy Cantonment suburbs north-east of the centre. Mosque Road is known across the city for its Ramzan evening food stalls of kebabs, haleem and sweets; check each year whether the street stalls have been permitted. The rest of the year the draw is bakeries, old restaurants and the cafés around Richards Park and Coles Park, which host small exhibitions, book clubs, supper clubs and workshops. Heritage-walk groups run regular Fraser Town walks. There is no metro station yet; the Pink Line under construction will pass nearby, so come by cab, auto or bus.
