BLR Hubba 2027: 15–24 January Across Bengaluru

BLR Hubba, Bengaluru's city-wide arts and culture festival, returns from Friday 15 to Sunday 24 January 2027, according to the organiser, the UnboxingBLR Foundation. It will be the festival's fourth edition. Rather than one ground, the Hubba (the word means festival in Kannada) spreads hundreds of events across public spaces and cultural venues: the third edition, from 16 to 25 January 2026, had more than 350, and venues have included Freedom Park, Sabha on Kamaraj Road, the Bangalore International Centre, the National Gallery of Modern Art, Alliance Française and ADA Rangamandira, along with streets and metro stations. The programme mixes concerts, theatre, dance, literature, visual art, design, technology, food, children's events and neighbourhood walks, and includes several sub-festivals. The festival is presented with the Government of Karnataka; entry terms vary by event, and popular ones need registration. An earlier edition ran from 30 November to 15 December 2024 with more than 500 events. The 2027 schedule had not been published at the time of writing. This page will list BLR Hubba events as they are announced, alongside everything else happening in Bengaluru (Bangalore) in the second half of January.

Good to know

  • Follow the festival's website for the day-by-day schedule; events are spread across the city, so plan by neighbourhood.
  • Register early for free events with limited seats, such as concerts in small halls and guided walks.
  • Use the metro for the central venues: Freedom Park is near Central College station and Sabha is a walk from MG Road.
  • Mid-January coincides with the Lalbagh Republic Day flower show, so central roads are busier than usual on weekends.
  • Check each listing for the language of the performance and any age guidance.
