Best Live Music and Comedy Venues in Bengaluru (2026 Guide)

Updated 2026-10-12 ยท 7 min read ยท by the bengaluru2go team

Bengaluru (Bangalore) splits its live entertainment by size. Stadium-scale concerts go to open grounds on the edge of the city, seated concerts and big comedy tours to a handful of auditoriums, jazz to one room in Whitefield, and week-to-week stand-up to small clubs in Koramangala and Indiranagar. This guide covers the venues worth knowing in each tier, how to reach them and what to expect, using what each venue had listed in October 2026. For tonight’s shows, go straight to our music listings and comedy listings.

Where the big concerts go

Terraform Arena

Terraform Arena, branded District Arena at Terraform, is a purpose-built concert ground next to the Embassy riding school in Yelahanka, off the airport road. The site covers 16 acres, with an 81,000-square-foot lawn. Since 2024 it has hosted Bryan Adams, Arijit Singh, Karan Aujla, Akon and Anirudh Ravichander. The venue’s own calendar lists Papon on 14 November 2026, the Festival of Sound & Speed on 28 and 29 November, and Gorillaz on 23 January 2027.

The catch is the journey. There is no metro on the airport road yet, so you need a cab both ways, your own vehicle or an organiser’s shuttle. Mobile signal near the venue can be weak, so download tickets and fix a meeting point before you arrive.

NICE Grounds

NICE Grounds is the open ground at Madavara, beside the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre on Tumakuru Road. It is rebuilt for each show rather than being a permanent arena. Ed Sheeran played two nights here in February 2025, and Fred again.. is booked for 13 December 2026, the last date of his first India tour. Guns N’ Roses are also listed for Bengaluru on 14 November 2026; check the official ticketing page for the venue and gate details.

Its advantage over Terraform is the metro. Madavara, the northern terminus of the Green Line, opened in November 2024 and is the local station. Check the last train before the encore, because services aren’t always extended for concerts, and the highway is slow for a long time after a big show.

Phoenix Marketcity Courtyard

The open-air Courtyard at Phoenix Marketcity in Whitefield is the city’s main mid-size stage. Indian Ocean are booked for 28 November 2026, with tickets from โ‚น799 for children to โ‚น1,999 for the fan pit, and the mall ran a Dandiya Nights event there in October. Singayyanapalya station on the Purple Line serves the mall. In the north, Phoenix Mall of Asia does the same job with its Fan Park, where Dhvani Bhanushali is listed for 7 November 2026.

Concert halls and classical music

Chowdiah Memorial Hall. The violin-shaped auditorium in Malleshwaram, completed in 1980 and named after the violinist T. Chowdiah, seats about 1,100. It takes Carnatic and Hindustani concerts, jazz, dance and plays. No metro station is close, so take an auto from Mantri Square Sampige Road.

Prestige Srihari Khoday Centre for Performing Arts. Opened in January 2023 with a recital by Amjad Ali Khan and his family, this is a 1,000-seat theatre on Kanakapura Road with a 77-foot-wide stage and a 500-seat open-air amphitheatre. Konanakunte Cross station on the Green Line is next to it.

Bangalore Gayana Samaja. Founded in 1905 and described as India’s oldest functioning sabha, it has been on K.R. Road in Basavanagudi since 1962. This is the place for Carnatic vocal and instrumental concerts and the annual music conference. National College station on the Green Line is nearby.

Bangalore International Centre. The 180-seat auditorium in Domlur hosts classical and contemporary concerts alongside talks, and non-members get in free with an RSVP. In October 2026 its calendar included an evening called Swarantar on 14 October.

Sabha. A restored school building on Kamaraj Road in Shivajinagar, about 160 years old, with a performance block and courtyards. Its October 2026 programme included a sarod concert on 17 October. There is no parking, so walk from MG Road station or take an auto.

Jazz, rock and bar gigs

Windmills, Whitefield. Windmills calls its music room a jazz theatre, and that’s accurate: concerts are ticketed, and the audience is there to listen. It was founded by the architect Kamal Sagar and sits alongside the brand’s microbrewery in the EPIP Zone. Tickets are sold on the venue’s own website. Shows often start late, so check your ride home if you’re coming from the centre.

Hard Rock Cafe, St Mark’s Road. Open since 2007, it has been one of the steadier stages for rock in the centre of town. October 2026 listings were themed tribute nights, including a British rock tribute, a Bryan Adams night and an Eagles night, for guests aged 21 and over. A caveat: in March 2026 Hard Rock International said it had terminated its agreements with its Indian franchisee, which disputed that and kept the outlets open. Check the cafe’s current listings before you plan around it.

Brewpubs. Many of the city’s breweries book bands, DJs and quiz nights at weekends. Toit in Indiranagar, Byg Brewski in Hennur and on Sarjapur Road, and Ironhill in Marathahalli are the best known. Our breweries and pubs page lists what each has on.

Comedy clubs

Bengaluru’s stand-up scene runs on small dedicated rooms rather than one flagship club. Shows are mostly in English and Hindi, with regional-language nights listed separately.

The Underground Comedy Club, Koramangala. In KHB Colony in 5th Block, this was the most heavily listed comedy room in the city in late 2026. Its calendar included Vivek Samtani on 17 October, Radhika Vaz on 15 November, Praveen Kumar on 6 December and Sapan Verma on 13 December, plus Telugu nights. Shows are 18+.

The Comedy Theatre. Two rooms share the name: one on the third floor of Bayt Towers on 12th Main in Indiranagar, and one on the second floor of Brigade Gardens on Church Street. Both run line-ups, trial shows and solo hours, and listings are 16+. Check the address on your ticket.

Ministry of Comedy and TAG Comedy Club. These two sit a few doors apart on 80 Feet Road in Koramangala 4th Block, which makes it easy to pick whichever has the better line-up that night. Both had several shows listed in the second half of October 2026. TAG also hosts storytelling open mics.

Medai โ€“ The Stage. A room on Museum Road, opposite St Patrick’s Church, within walking distance of MG Road station.

JustBLR, Brigade Road. A three-floor restobar that hosts comedy nights. One October 2026 show had a โ‚น100 cover charge that could be redeemed against food and drinks, which is about as cheap as a night of stand-up gets.

For the biggest comedy tours, look beyond the clubs. Headliners book auditoriums such as Chowdiah and the Prestige Centre, and Phoenix Mall of Asia has a comedy show listed in its Fan Park on 12 December 2026. If you want to perform rather than watch, our open mic page explains how sign-ups work.

Practical tips

  • Check the age limit. Bar gigs are usually 21+, with photo ID checked at the door. Comedy clubs are mostly 16+ or 18+.
  • Be on time. Comedy rooms usually seat on a first-come basis, and theatres such as Ranga Shankara and Jagriti don’t admit latecomers at all.
  • Match the venue to the metro. The Green Line is useful for NICE Grounds, Gayana Samaja and the Prestige Centre, and the Purple Line for MG Road, Indiranagar and Whitefield. Koramangala and Terraform Arena need a cab.
  • Buy from the official link. For big tours, use the ticketing partner named by the artist or venue. Resale tickets are a common scam.
  • Plan the ride home first. After a show at Terraform or NICE Grounds, cabs are scarce for an hour or more.
