About Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC)
The Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) is the city's largest trade-fair venue, a 57-acre campus on Tumakuru Road developed and managed by the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA). Opened in 2007, it has five column-free halls with 77,200 square metres of exhibition space, a 5,600-square-metre conference centre, and is described as India's first LEED-certified exhibition facility. It is the home of IMTEX, the machine-tool show, and since 2025 of the Bengaluru Tech Summit, whose 29th edition runs here from 17 to 19 November 2026. The 2026 calendar also included a HYROX fitness race in April and the Acetech design show in October. The Green Line was extended to Madavara station, next to the campus, on 7 November 2024.
