About Bangalore International Centre (BIC)
The Bangalore International Centre (BIC) is a non-profit cultural institution in Domlur that describes itself as a neutral platform for informed conversations, arts and culture. Founded in November 2005, it was hosted by TERI until the end of 2018 and moved into its own building, designed by the architects Hundredhands, in 2019. The 48,000-square-foot centre has a 180-seat auditorium, an amphitheatre, a gallery, a library, seminar halls, a café and a rooftop terrace. Its calendar runs almost daily: talks and panel discussions, book launches, classical and contemporary music, theatre, film screenings and exhibitions. Events are open to non-members free of charge, usually with an online RSVP, which makes it one of the easiest places in the city to hear a good lecture or concert without a ticket.
