About Alliance Française de Bangalore
The Alliance Française de Bangalore, founded in 1970, is the city's French cultural centre and one of its most used small performance venues. Alongside French classes it has an auditorium, an art gallery and a media library on its Vasanth Nagar campus, and it rents them to local theatre groups, musicians and festival organisers. Bangalore Little Theatre, a group founded in 1960, stages productions here; Candlelight concerts are held in the auditorium; and the campus has been one of the venues of the BLR Hubba city festival. Film screenings, exhibitions and talks fill the rest of the calendar. The office is open Monday to Saturday, and events are listed on the Alliance's website.
